The short version: Rostrum is free, it is one person's project, it may be full or broken on the day you want it, and if you abuse it you lose it.
It is free, and it is offered as it is
There is no charge, no account and nothing to subscribe to. In exchange, Rostrum comes with no warranty of any kind: no promise that it is available, that it is correct, or that it is fit for anything in particular. The coaching is a language model's opinion about how you spoke. It is not an assessment, a qualification, or advice.
It can be full
Rostrum runs on free capacity with a daily ceiling, and there is a limit on how many rounds one browser can take in a day. When either is reached, Rostrum says so and refuses to start, rather than taking a recording it cannot mark. Availability is not guaranteed on any given day, and the service can go away entirely.
Be decent
- Speak into it like a person. Do not point scripts, bots or load tests at it.
- Do not use it to abuse, harass or impersonate anyone, or to produce anything unlawful.
- Do not try to break it, work around its limits, or scrape it. The day's capacity taken by a script is a day's practice taken from someone who wanted it.
What the operator can do
Block a browser or a network that is abusing the service, remove data, change or withdraw any part of Rostrum, and shut it down. None of that comes with notice, which is another reason your own record is yours to export and delete at Your data whenever you want it.
What you say
Your words stay yours. Rostrum stores the transcript to show you your own record and to write your notes; it never publishes it and never sells it. It does pass through Groq to be transcribed and marked — that is described on the privacy page.
Liability
To the extent the law allows: the operator is not liable for anything you do on the strength of the coaching, for the service being unavailable, or for data that is lost. If a record matters to you, export it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over anything arising from them.
